Log

What I shipped, week by week. Drafted from my merged pull requests and checked against them before it goes up.

Week of Oct 19

  1. Ambessa StudioFeature

One click from idea to post

Approving an idea now runs every step from script to final video, within spending caps, and sends it to Telegram at one of four daily posting times. A Telegram bot takes new ideas and approvals.

  2. Ambessa StudioFeature

Scheduled drops to the TikTok inbox

Pick a time on a finished post and the studio sends the video to the TikTok inbox once, at that time. Posting it is still done by hand. The studio also works from a phone on the same wifi.

  3. Ambessa StudioDesign

    Pixel cinema

A new look for vertical episodes: animated pixel-art music videos, cut to the song, with the lyrics appearing in Fidel syllable by syllable. The first is Endemin Aderachihu.

Week of Oct 12

  1. ReleaseCrewFeature

    A quieter launch agent

Home shows one launch card and says everything else is handled. A campaign is approved in one step, and a founder can turn down a launch from its page or by typing “Don’t launch this”.

  2. ReleaseCrewFeature

    No computer needed

ReleaseCrew now writes every draft itself, through OpenAI’s API. A new founder connects GitHub, names the product and is done: nothing to install and no AI plan to sign in to.

  3. ReleaseCrewFeature

    Merges are signals, not launches

A merged PR is now a signal. The crew keeps one plan and decides whether to skip a change, hold it for related work or fold it into a launch. Nothing goes out until the founder approves.

  4. ReleaseCrewDesign

    A new landing page

ReleaseCrew is now your AI launch agent: “You build. ReleaseCrew launches.” An animated demo shows a release becoming a skip, a single post or a campaign. X is named as the one channel.

  5. ReleaseCrewFeature

    No more customer email

A launch is now X posts plus the landing page. ReleaseCrew no longer writes or sends email to a founder’s customers.

  6. ReleaseCrewFix

    The account menu opens

Clicking your avatar crashed the app instead of opening the account menu. It opens now, and the theme choice inside has a proper label.

  7. MossProcess

Four UI tests instead of about 127

UI tests now only walk the core journeys: buying, restoring, onboarding and the timer. Logic stays covered by 533 unit tests.

  8. MossProcess

    The deferred QA checks

Reduce Motion, the largest text sizes, time of day, the returning day and the Sounds switch all passed in the simulator. VoiceOver and the checks on a real device still need doing by hand.

  9. MossDesign

A felt wall above every room

On tall phones all 36 room paintings now carry on up into a felt wall, and the room stays put when the controls change height.

  10. HabeshiFeature

One play button for a child

A child who can’t read gets one big green play button on the home screen, and the first game starts with a pointing hand instead of a text tutorial.

  11. This siteFeature

    Writing, and this log

Essays get their own pages, and what I ship lands here each week, filterable by project and kind. Entries publish only after a script and a second agent check each one against its pull requests.

  12. MossProcess

An end-to-end check of the whole app

Every acceptance criterion in the plan, audited again, with the evidence saved next to it.

  13. SouvieFeature

    Chapters full of photos

A Chapter and each place in it now open into their own photo-rich pages.

  14. HabeshiFix

Word order, word audio and the offline unlock

The curated words play in the right order again, the masked word sounds right, and the one-time unlock works without a connection.

  15. ambessapowerProcess

A daily retro with fresh eyes

Once a day a new agent, with none of the day’s context, reads my sessions and proposes fixes. Nothing changes until I approve it.

  16. ambessapowerProcess

    Fewer UI tests, on purpose

UI tests are capped at a small smoke set for the core journeys. Logic gets unit tests; looks get screenshots I actually inspect.

  17. ambessapowerFix

Agents stop polling logs in the foreground

A guard blocks the sleep-and-tail loops agents like to write, plus a rewrite of the zsh equals guard.

  18. MossFeature

Pip does the chore with you

Pip works alongside the timer, makes tea when you pause, holds up a Time! sign and wipes its brow when you finish.

  19. MossFeature

    Moss+ and a soft paywall

The paywall says “Light up the whole house” over a night dollhouse, with prices from the App Store. It shows once, at the first quiet moment after your first win.

  20. MossDesign

    Felt foley

Quiet sound effects and ambience made with ElevenLabs, to match the felt look.

  21. SouvieFeature

    A living globe

A RealityKit globe at the centre, and the app’s four tabs: World, Trips, Passport and You.

  22. SouvieDesign

    Onboarding with a reveal

A scenic welcome, the globe filling with your trips, celebrations along the way, and a way to replay it.

  23. SouvieDesign

    The app icon

A calm explorer, layered for each appearance.

  24. ReleaseCrewDesign

    A calmer ReleaseCrew

Research, high-fidelity comps, then tokens and primitives, the public site and the signed-in app, in four steps.

  25. ReleaseCrewFix

    No more silent failures

Campaigns, PostHog and connection errors now say when they fail instead of quietly doing nothing.

  26. MossFeature

    Pip has a day

A routine that follows the time of day, hops between rooms, and a greeting when you come back.

  27. MossFeature

    You can touch Pip

Taps escalate, petting comes with a heartbeat, and you can carry Pip to another spot or room.

  28. MossFeature

    Pip moves in

Onboarding is nine felt steps that end at your first chore.

  29. MossFeature

    Swatches and sceneries

Pip finds wallpapers, floors and rugs that paint into the room. The Meadow scenery is free; five more come with Moss+, with a live preview.

  30. MossProcess

    English and German

Both languages, set up so more can follow.

  31. SouvieFeature

    The core app, in slices

Your World home, Chapters, editing, celebrations, the Passport, incremental rescans and the start of share videos. Seven slices, each one usable on its own.

  32. SouvieDesign

    Production art

Explorer looks, keepsakes, ink and scenes, from concept crops to finished assets.

  33. SouvieProcess

    The concept is the bar

Matching the concept art is now a 1.0 release requirement, checked side by side.

  34. ReleaseCrewFeature

    Images and video on X

Every X draft gets a visual. Posts take up to four images or a video, with guardrails on storage and cost.

Week of Oct 5

  1. MossFeature

    Moving through the house

Swipe between rooms, pinch out to see the whole house, and tap Back to Pip.

  2. MossDesign

    The house follows your day

Morning, dusk and night, and a diorama that shifts as you tilt the phone.

  3. MossDesign

    A lot of felt

Pip in every life stage, 18 scenery backdrops, dusk and night rooms, the doorstep and the decorations.

  4. MossFeature

    Decorate, edit and play

Rearrange what you have found, edit any chore with Moss+, tap discoveries, and shake the phone to wobble the house.

  5. SouvieResearch

Testing the idea before the app

An Import Lab prototype that finds trips in my own photos, tuned from a real run. Plus a book pre-order page and a print-partner shortlist.

  6. SouvieDesign

    Meet the Globeling

A vinyl-toy character, locked with a sheet and the prompts that made it.

  7. SouvieProcess

    Core first

The plan for 1.0 now builds the core app first and pauses the book test. TestFlight prep is done.

  8. This siteFeature

    App pages

Moss and Globeling got their own pages: the idea, why, real build numbers and what’s next.

  9. ambessapowerProcess

Every agent gets the same rules

Workers and reviewers that a lead agent spawns now get the shared runtime in their brief, not just the lead.

  10. MossFeature

    Timers that survive

Chore timers persist, go into overtime after Time!, and show on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.

  11. MossFeature

    Rooms and chores

Start a chore with a countdown, pause, resume and finish with Done. The free plan lights three rooms.

  12. ReleaseCrewFeature

Not every release is a launch

Each release is sorted into Skip, Single post or Campaign before anything gets drafted.

  13. ReleaseCrewDesign

    Launches as stories

X launches are reviewed as ordered stories tied to a version, and the landing page explains why X goes first.

  14. MossDesign

    Felt

Moss found its look: felt illustrations for Pip, the cottage and the discoveries.

  15. ReleaseCrewFix

    Stripe, properly

Six fixes to connecting Stripe, keeping free plans, and explaining why revenue results fail.

  16. ambessapowerFeature

One plugin for Claude Code and Codex

The Ambessa skills ship as a single plugin for both, with one routing policy and usage counted across delegated agents.

  17. ambessapowerResearch

    Finding apps worth building

A skill that looks for paid pain points in Mobbin, market research and App Store reviews before I pick what to build.

  18. HabeshiFix

    The purchase message clears

Once the unlock arrives, the purchase message goes away.

  19. ReleaseCrewDesign

    Quiet Crew

A new visual system and launch flow, and honest launch states after you send.

  20. ReleaseCrewFeature

    ReleaseCrew v1, end to end

It reads what you shipped on GitHub, plans the launch, and drafts X posts that sound like you, generated on your own AI subscription through a local runner.
