The story
Gash Worku explains what matters in Germany today, in Amharic, for Ethiopians and Eritreans living here who might otherwise miss something that affects them. Amharic is always the main text; German is a small context tag.
Each story starts from the day’s German news and is dropped unless it changes money, rules, papers, work, travel, safety or daily costs for people living here. The hook lands in the first second and a half: who is affected, from when, and what to do.
Recent reels covered the 2027 pension rise, inflation falling to 2.8 %, the Wohngeld reform, cheaper driving licences, airlines cutting flights from Germany and whether Germany can ban a protest.
It is made by Ambessa Studio, one app on my Mac and a crew of agents. They score the day’s stories, write the chosen ones, voice them and cut the vertical video. A critic agent judges every reel and a fluent speaker checks the Amharic before it counts as ready. Every post is labelled AI-generated.
